Today is Mother's Day! We all went to the City to shop and then picked up one of my friends, writer Sunny Cole. And then we all went to The Cattleman's Restaurant (the oldest restaurant in Oklahoma) to celebrate both the holiday and Maggie's birthday. We had a great time, laughing and gabbing. After that, we went to Sunny's home to meet her son, known to all of us as The Kid, and his girlfriend, Jess.
We went home later, happily tired and properly celebrated!
Three generations - Maggie, Mom, Merry and Katie (Maggie's daughter).
Maggie holds up the menu from The Cattleman's Restaurant. This restaurant dates back to Land Run days and was lost by its previous owner in a card game.
Maggie got a free dessert for her birthday. She chose The Cattleman's famous Strawberry Shortcake. Thomas is certain she ate some of the wax from the candle! (she says she didn't).
My friend, Sunny Cole. Sunny is a fellow member of The Belfry Collective. TBC is a writers group formed with the goal that we would all become published writers. We've almost accomplished it!
